Film Screening: ‘The Moving World of George Rickey’

A screening of The Moving World of George Rickey¬†by Oscar winning director Kevin Macdonald will be shown in the gallery on Wednesday 17 May. The film is an intimate portrait of the celebrated kinetic sculptor that traces his steps from a childhood spent in Scotland through to the artists’s early nineties where he lived and worked in Albany, upstate New York. The film offers a rare insight into the life and work of this master of Twentieth Century art.

Rickey’s work can be found in museums, public gardens, and private collections all around the world.

The screening starts at 6:00pm on Wednesday 17 May. Running Time is approx 1 hr.
